About Pippa Howell  

I am a qualified and experienced practitioner with a caring, intuitive approach.  I respect and honour each client's individuality.  As a registered member of the UK Reiki Federation and the Association of Reflexologists, I work to the highest ethical standards and a professional code of practice.  All client consultations and treatments are completely confidential.

I work mostly at home in the Somerset market town of Frome, in a warm and peaceful treatment room.  I am a member of Frome Healthy Living which is a local association of fully qualified practitioners in the Frome area.  I also offer treatments on Thursdays at the Manu Centre in Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire, which is a wonderful space used only for healing and well-being purposes.  Some of my workshops are also held here.

My interest and experience in hands-on healing and energy work began while working in remote parts of Africa and Asia.  On returning to England I qualified in Indian Head Massage and then undertook four years of Reiki training which has become an ongoing developmental practice.  Since also qualifying as a reflexologist I have discovered the amazing potential of the feet as a pathway to the whole body, indeed the whole person.  It now seems very natural to me that I was inspired to develop the special combined treatment known as Reiki-Reflex. Since 2009 I am also qualified to use a range of aromatherapy oils on the feet. I have now developed the Aroma-Reflex treatment, which is the luxurious combination of a full reflexology session with aromatherapy massage of the feet and lower legs.

In 2007 I trained to become a Certified LifeSkills Consultant in order to help clients manage their stress and learn simple relaxation techniques (see LifeSkills section) including breath work and visualisation. This is a natural extension to my therapy work and can be combined with Reiki or other therapies if required.

I am a qualified Reiki Master Teacher offering Reiki courses to individuals, couples and small groups. For more information please see the Workshops section or my separate website www.reiki-course.co.uk.  I also offer other personal growth workshops from time to time, for instance working with the Chakras (energy centres), Creative Visualisation or Relaxation Skills. Since 2005 I have also taught occasional introductory Reflexology workshops. In 2009 I undertook training in Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and I am now able to  offer this amazing transformative therapy to my clients. Just a few sessions of EFT can help to shift old emotional patterns and physical symptoms on a permanent basis. If you have an issue which has not responded to other therapies, this is definitely worth a try!

Qualifications

  Diploma in Anatomy and Physiology, ITEC
